FAQ

Mandatory training is accessible on the AQTR website and is offered remotely. You can do the training at home or come and do it at our premises. We have all the necessary equipment.

The training we require is that of road signaller (for flaggers and drivers of escort vehicles) and that of roadworks signaling installer Part 1 (valid for 60 days). Before the training in Part 1 expires, you will have to complete the road construction site signaling installer training in Parts 2 and 3.

The road signaller (3 hours) and road site signage installer training Part 1 (1h30) consists of video clips and quizzes and can be done at any time of the day or night and in several blocks. Once the training has started, you can stop and start again later, and you will be back where you left off.

At the end of the course, don’t forget to register for the exam (also online). The AQTR will call you to give you the time and date of the exam, generally 24 to 48 hours after your registration. The exam is also done online and takes the form of an exam of around twenty questions with choice of answers. You will have 45 minutes to take the exam and you will be entitled to a cheat sheet.

Yes. We reimburse training costs under certain conditions. Contact us for more details.

There are two types of barriers, those transportable on trailers and those hung on service trucks. In both cases, the flaggers operate them remotely with a remote control. Flaggers can protect themselves from bad weather and dangers on the road, as long as they have a visual of the barrier and the road traffic they must manage. Here are the two types of barriers we use:

Signazip purchased a newly renovated rooming house in Amos, near the Harricana River. We can accommodate 9 people in single rooms. If you are assigned to a construction site located more than 120 km from Amos, we offer a daily allowance to cover your accommodation costs.

Yes, especially for people from outside our region who want to return home from time to time.

Our industry is seasonal, so you can expect to work all summer and take vacation between the months of November and June. This is the price to pay for beautiful roads in Quebec! 😊 Otherwise, we can try to accommodate you but we don’t make promises to anyone.
